Most women from the time they are little girls dream of having children of their own and becoming 'mommy' some day. Our culture has changed over the decades, women are starting their families later in life. A childhood dream is shattered and the bite of reality stings when the desire for children doesn't come quickly, or at all.
It is estimated that one in six American couples (7.3 million women) are affected by infertility, even more worldwide. Those women who attend church or profess a belief in God, unfortunately, are not immune from these astounding statistics. They leave their places of worship with the need to fit in, to be accepted, with a profound feeling of hopelessness. Where is there inspiration for their confused mind and depleted heart?
Dancing Upon Barren Land - Spiritual Nourishment for the Infertility Road addresses those needs through a Christian online support ministry, whether they are new in their faith in Christ or seasoned believers. The ministry's mission is to inspire belief through Jesus Christ that there is an expected end to the road of barrenness. The monthly disappointments can be turned into God appointments, bringing joy and peace along the journey, as well as offering tools to family members, friends and ministry leaders to support the fertility-challenged, the women traveling to the destination of motherhood.

About Lesli Westfall
Just like the picture of Lesli, her dream came true to open up a doll on Christmas morning! To play mommy to all the children, a dream to become a mother someday. Many years have passed since that Christmas. After college, life was all about a career and saving money to pay cash for a house! That dream was just only something little girls do. However, a deep void crept in and she began to pray. As time progressed, the Lord restored that childhood dream of motherhood. Since then, her life has not been the same; it has been a spiritual journey for her. Unfortunately, Lesli is no stranger to infertility. She has experienced the gamut of feelings, asking God endless questions, felt the prodding of doctors and stinging disappointments for over a decade now. But God has turned those disappointments into appointments with Him. He has led her down a road not of her own choosing, but has opened up a smooth highway upon the desert of infertility, all by believing in Him. This journey has caused her to stop gazing inward and to look outward toward others.
In 2007, she was asked to initiate and lead HOPE, Hearts Of Promise and Expectation for Women, an infertility support group in one of the largest churches in America. From the experiences of isolation and grief shared within the support group, e-mails from around the country and beyond, as well as her own experience, a deep compassion has formed for those who are hurting. Dancing Upon Barren Land-Spiritual Nourishment for the Infertility Road is an extension of that compassion, informing women that there is a loving, caring God that has not forsaken His daughters. Lesli's desire is for you to enjoy this moment in life, even though you are not yet gazing into the eyes of your newborn or embracing your adopted son or daughter. She wants you to learn how to Dance Upon Barren Land!
Lesli enjoys her moments in life by teaching cooking and etiquette to children, finds pleasure in spending time with family and friends and eating dark chocolate! Most of all, she enjoys sharing God's love and teaching His Word to women. She is happily married to her man of faith, live-in comedian and best friend, Larry, of 20 years.

There is one God existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God, the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life. Eternal life is through Him and no one else. The confession of Jesus as Lord with our mouth and belief in our heart will result in salvation.

The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God.
